I will be at Saltmarshe Hall Wedding Open Afternoon on Tuesday 11th July 2023 (free tickets on Eventbrite) to film the first in my series on couples' wedding planning at Yorkshire venues. Whilst this is not a fair with vendors, I've been allowed access to film and educate people on planning for their photography on the big day! All whilst the rooms and sites outside are dressed by All Occasions Florists of Howden...
Aside from photographing the Georgian venue's suites, bedrooms, Morning Room, terrace, walled garden, pool and tree-lined avenues (all possible ceremony, reception, wedding breakfast venues) I'll be educating you on planning for the light, time of year, foliage - for where the best spots are for beautifully lit portraits, whether it's the background, using open shade and naturally reflective surfaces for gorgeous portraits, backlighting and using the sun to our advantage, or retreating from the rain to use windows for beautiful diffused light, I'll take you through having a vision for light in the sometimes unlikely looking spots that make for wow-factor images, and how it's done...
